All In One Runtimes: Install All Required Runtimes At Once In Windows 10
Runtimes and frameworks are an important component of any language. Runtime libraries are required for a program to run on the Operating System.
For example, if you want to run a Java application, you will need a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and if you want to run a VC++ program, you will need specific VC++ Runtime environment.
There are less popular runtimes like Flash Player, Microsoft Silverlight (now retired), DirectX and Adobe Shockwave Player.
Some runtimes come pre-installed in Windows while others need to be installed. There are two ways to install all the required runtimes at once in Windows. We will discuss both ways here.
All in One Runtimes
All in One Runtimes (or AIO Runtimes) is an executable script for installing commonly used runtimes and frameworks in Windows.
When the All in One Runtimes setup runs, it checks for installed runtimes in Windows and will list down all the runtimes and frameworks that are missing from your PC.
The program is in German but you will be able to understand quite easily the two step process of runtime installation. The first step is to select the runtimes to install and then click Install to start the installation process.
In the previous version, DirectX runtimes were also included but since Windows 10 doesn’t require older DirectX runtimes, this option has been removed.
My opinion is that Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Shockwave Player should not be installed as they are already retired. Installing obsolete frameworks and runtimes will make the system insecure.
Please note that All in One Runtimes is a big file of around 350MB but it is worth the download if you have to install multiple runtimes on your computer.
Ninite Runtimes
Another way to download and install the required runtimes automatically is by using Ninite.
Ninite is a wonderful tool to install multiple softwares automatically and unattended. You just have to select the software you want to install and Ninite will do the rest while you wait for the installation to complete. Ninite Runtimes download
Although the list is not as long as All in One Runtimes, the installation is pretty simple and smoothly done. You can either go to ninite.com and customize your software selection to be installed, or you can download the following file which includes all the Runtimes listed above.

Для чего нужна сборка RuntimePack?

Install Missing Runtimes With All In One Runtime
All In One Runtime is a free program for Windows to install multiple frameworks, runtimes and packs at once on a Windows machine.
Many programs for the Windows operating system need so called runtimes or frameworks so that they can execute correctly on the computer system.
Installation of runtimes or frameworks, if they are not already installed, happen after the installation of the software program that depends on them usually.
Some programs check for missing runtimes and provide options to install them while others do not; the effect in the latter case is that the programs won’t run, and that you may need to research why that is the case. Maybe you are lucky and the developer website or software documentation mentions the dependency.
If the information is not available, you may either try various options, or give up on the program and remove it again from the Windows PC.
All In One Runtime
All In One Runtime offers an efficient (critics would probably call it unnecessary or overkill) solution to the problem. The program checks the installed runtimes of the Windows operating system, and you may use it to list and install the runtimes that are not installed on the PC system.
Please note that the size of the program is quite large, as it ships with all the runtimes included. The latest version has a size of about 360 Megabytes.
The supported runtimes are:
The program displays the runtimes that it intends to install. A 30 second countdown is displayed, and if you don’t hit the pause button in that time period, install the selected runtimes on the system.
You can switch between «installation» and «details» in the interface. The main difference is that the details screen lists all versions of a particular runtime, while the installation screen each entry only once.
There you will also find entries to remove old installations of Java from the operating system.
All In One Runtime is a portable software program for Microsoft Windows operating systems. Supported are 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and Windows 10.
The download is available on a German website. The developer’s website is also only available in German.
Update: The program now offers options to install only selected runtimes on the system. That’s better than just blindly installing all missing ones. The program has recently been updated to include runtime updates.
The latest version will for instance install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player if missing on the system. It is still recommended to check for program updates after the installation to make sure that all runtimes are up to date (especially those with web browser plugins).
