Yakuza 0 Pocket Circuit Best Builds
Give yourself the advantage in all of Yakuza 0’s Pocket Circuit races.
Yakuza 0 is full of mini-games, and none of them can be as difficult as the Pocket Circuit Racing, a mini-game that has you building and kitting out RC cars to compete against others in a race.
To unlock this mini-game, you will have to go to Shichifuku Street West to find the Pocket Circuit Stadium. If you talk to the Pocket Circuit Fighter, he will give you The Fighter’s Successor substory. Accepting that will open up the stadium for you, and the Fighter will give you the Golem Tiger, your first RC car.
You won’t have to complete this substory to enter tournaments, but we highly recommend doing so as it will unlock additional parts for you to use. You will also need to buy more parts as you progress from the Pocket Circuit parts shop, West Park weapons dealer, the Ebis Pawn Shop, and Don Quijote.
Now, in terms of each individual circuit, we have each one here, broken down by what to expect from it and what parts we recommend you use.
Though, we do want to say that this is simply a list of the builds that we, and much of the game’s community, see as the best to use. Races will also throw a lot of random factors at you, and you could be using one of these builds, and something shoots your car off the track. These won’t always guarantee a win, so just be prepared for that.

And now, the finest race of champions. Starting at daytime in Chapter 2 (after Kiryu returns to his apartment), you can go to the west end of Shichifuku St. to find a lady barking for Pocket Circuit. Head inside the Stadium and bask in the glory of speed. You’ll automatically speak to Pocket Circuit Fighter who will explain to you the ins and outs of pocket racing.
Racing itself is actually exceedingly simple. The cars race entirely on their own. Each race you have one turbo (two for a twelve lap race) that you can use by pressing the indicated button, and if your car gets unsettled and might fly off the track, which you’ll know by way of the extreme close-up and the prompts, mash the Stabilize button to realign it. Other than that, you can hold to the right on the Left Stick to fast forward the race if it’s not exciting enough for you. Be careful using the Stabilize, though, since you only get so much you can use on the meter. It replenishes slowly, and if you don’t have any meter left, flying off will disqualify you. It’s best to simply tap it a few times to make sure your car is settling back in its track.
The actual challenge in Pocket Circuit is building the proper car. Based around several components that take up an entire wing of your inventory, putting together a car that drives like a champion is a big deal. Most of these components are purchased from the shop right in the Stadium. You’ll start with a basic set and as you complete races, more will become available. You’ll get new parts available after completing the first, third, fourth, sixth, and final races. These parts will become more and more expensive with each drop, so while you can get a little ways in early in the game, maybe wait until you start Real Estate Royale for the most expensive parts and for cleaning out their stock.
There are also some parts that you can’t get at the Stadium. Some are found in shops around town, and there are a few that can only be gleaned from getting lucky at a Dream Machine.
I’ve included a list of Pocket Circuit Components down in the Item List, so go there if you’re looking to fill every space in your inventory. For those of you looking to simply just get this done for the completion, I’ve got you covered here. These builds were put together by kkhsubs.com, so all credit goes to them for doing the legwork for me to construct the best car for each race.

The list doesn’t mention car, decal, or side stabilizer. For the first two, they don’t have an effect. The Side Stabilizer doesn’t factor into any of the builds.
Note that none of these parts listed require you to hit up a Dream Machine, so the Pocket Circuit Drama is fully completable without relying on random chance. You will need to get the Batteries from Don Quijote, and the High Torque Motor 2.0 from the secret shop that opens from Substory #8, and you’ll need the money to buy the «Killer Bee» car from Ebisu Pawn to get the Bumper Plate. Everything else in that list can be bought from the store. Some of these builds are serious to the point where you’ll have to rely on mashing Circle to keep your car in the track, but none of them require you to use Turbo.
These builds can also be used on Pocket Circuit related Substories, and in those sections you can use previous builds, except for the last one, which requires a rather particular build.
