Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“

Abstract.

Nadya Cherneva

Abstract.

DANCE AND LINGUODIDACTICS

Abstract. The author make an attempt to solve the problem of mutual understanding between the representatives of different cultures by means of the dance as a form of cross-cultural interaction. Social activities help participants to get to know themselves, their roots as “cultural” beings, to respect, appreciate and accept diversity in a global sense. Body language in dance culture around the world is analyzed in a way that is meaningful in foreign language theory and practice to approach intercultural competence as a part of effective intercultural communication. Such a description of dance would give the information necessary to operate as a member of global society.

Abstract.
